Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
- Make sustainability a highly visible and integral theme in the design and marketing of Westgate.
- Develop the Westgate site with buildings qualifying for LEED certification by the US Green Building Council at no less than a silver level.
- Ensure the highly-efficient energy performance of all buildings.
- Enhance building and site energy performance, by integrating Westgate building energy management controls with the advanced controls network of the Beaverton Central Plant, which will contractually provide HVAC heating water and cooling water to Westgate buildings.
- Exceptional on-site storm water management.
- Create a project with environmental performance that will help the City reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
